RIYADH: Faisal bin Fadhel Al-Ibrahim, Saudi Arabia’s new planning and economy minister, was sworn in on Tuesday.
He took the oath of office in front of King Salman during a virtual event.
Al-Ibrahim, who was vice minister of economy, has previously worked at Saudi Aramco.
Finance Minister Mohammed Al-Jadaan had overseen the ministry after its minister, Mohammed al-Tuwaijri, was made adviser to the royal court last year.
